Lois read Classical Civilisation at the University of Warwick and graduated with a 2:1 before completing the GDL at the University of Law and obtaining a “very competent” on the BPTC at BPP Law School.
Prior to joining the team at Gerard McDermott QC Limited, Lois worked in a specialist military firm who represented members of personnel injured during service. In particular, Lois was actively involved with submitting claims and reconsiderations for the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme and carrying out research for group actions.
Lois remains a keen classicist and has spent time working on an excavation in the centre of Rome. In addition she is an avid yet uncoordinated skier and ventures to the Alps most years. Lois took part in the Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington in New York in 2009 and remains highly interested in politics and world affairs.
